It’s only been a couple of weeks since we were last up North at A’s parents but we have had tickets to see Take That booked for ages and it was finally time to go and see them at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light. The concert itself was pretty good, Take That certainly have the ability to put on an impressive show, it started a bit slowly but once a certain Mr Williams appeared the atmosphere really picked up.
For once our Train Journey up was an absolute nightmare! We arrived at Kings Cross to see that everything was delayed due to power line failures near Grantham, thankfully the East Coast staff picked up on the fact that Mrs M was 6-months pregnant and told us what train to get on before anyone else, it’s a shame it still took nearly 6 hours to get to Darlington…. Still Max was a complete angel and had loads of the other commuters amused along the way.
I only just found out the results to my x-ray yesterday, a week longer than they should have been! Thankfully all has come back clear, so I can still take part in the British 10k. I still need to raise another £220 so if you would still like to sponsor me you can just click these words. I’m not running as Sora from Kingdom Hearts anymore as the outfit was a bit too complicated. I’m not going to reveal my new outfit just yet though. I’ve picked up a Nike Sensor to run with instead of relying on GPS, so I’ll be trying the Nike + iPhone software that came with my iPhone to track my runs. It’s a shame to lose the social features from the Nike +GPS app but it’s not the end of the world. To see how the whole SpecialEffect team are getting on you can keep an eye on our hashtag #Special10k.
This week has all been about films rather than gaming since I’ve had no xBox to play. It started with Happy Gilmore which I have wanted to see for ages, then Dodgeball was on the next night. I’ve also been getting through the Naked Gun Trilogy (nice beaver) and we still have Inception to watch.
I can’t believe there is only 3 months until our new baby boy arrives. I can finally feel him kicking, though thankfully he doesn’t seem as fidgety as max! There is plenty to be done in the next few months before the new baby arrives. We have our new wheels but we still have loads to get, thankfully Max is pretty much potty trained now so that’s one thing out of the way. We’re getting there!

What can I say, Sheaprd is back with a bang and I'm loving the ride, you can see my thoughts over at
I still haven't finished this, shame on me. I really want to, but just too busy on my 360 to get round to this... soon drake... soon.
