Gaming Roundup – October 2010

I have had a very productive gaming month. First off I finished the campaign on Halo Reach, and I really enjoyed it. I really struggled at times but was glad to see it through to the end.

The next game was Singularity, you can read more of my thoughts in my review, but essentially I had a really good time playing it. There was one part of the game that seemed stupidly difficult but after that the game got a lot easier.

I even completed a third game, Enslaved – I’ve nearly finished my review for this but it’s safe to say this is one of my top 5 games of

the year, I absolutely fell in love with the game (& Trip a little bit too).

I put some more hours into FIFA 11, which is brilliant, hopefully EA will sort out some silly bugs and the server issues then the game will be even better.

Free Game

I got lucky this month too. For once I was nosing about on Twitter and a tweet caught my attention. “Fable II for free”, “Surely not” I thought but a few clicks later the on demand Fable II was downloading to my xBox. The Microsoft staff on Twitter seemed to think this was just the episodic content but it wasn’t it was the full game, result! Although I had completed the main quest, I was only 6 achievements away from the full 1300. So I’ve spent some time finishing those off, I only need to open the Demon Doors and I am done.

I picked up the “All Fronts” pack for Gear of War 2 for 400pts which was a bargain, I never really got into the multiplayer but this will help me no doubt.

Even more…

I’ve just started Vanquish, checked out the Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit demo and played plenty of iPhone games too, I wonder what November will bring?
